Tales of Rhayne

Weapons

There are many weapons in Tales of Rhayne, normal, enchanted, and magical weapons. We try to have a realistic difference between the types. For example: Why would someone use an axe instead of sword, and etc:. We want the player to choose weapons with the same things being brought into consideration as the people would in the medieval ages.
We have done research for each and weapon, but we are still not weapon experts. So we cannot guarantee that everything functions exactly the same as they would be in real world scenarios. Standard Weapon Stats:

Sword

Swords

Swords are good at hitting and parrying. But can be relatively average everywhere else. This makes them a well rounded weapon and a fan favorite.

  • Parry: Very Good
  • Damage: Average
  • Stun Power: Bad
  • Armour Penetration: Average
  • Weight: Average
  • Range: Average to Good
Axe

Axes

Axes deal a large amount of damage with solid Armour Penetration, but are very bad at parrying.

  • To Hit: Bad
  • Parry: Very Bad
  • Damage: Good
  • Stun Power: Average
  • Armour Penetration: Good
  • Weight: Average to Heavy
  • Range: Short to Average
Mace

Maces

Maces are heavy and have a lot of Stun Power and Armour Penetration. Heavy Maces with Armour Penetration makes them good against armours.

  • Parry: Bad
  • Damage: Bad
  • Stun Power: Very Good
  • Armour Penetration: Good - Some Maces are Very Good
  • Weight: Average to Heavy
  • Range: Short to Average
Daggers

Daggers & Knives

Daggers are quick and light but deal low damage. Some skills can only be used with Daggers or Knives (ex: Backstab).

  • To Hit: Average
  • Parry: Very Bad - Execept with parry daggers
  • Damage: Bad
  • Stun Power: Very Bad
  • Armour Penetration: Good
  • Weight: Very Light
  • Range: Very Short to Short
Spear

Spears

The Spears main advantage is it's long range. You will usually be able to attack first. You can avoid taking hits entirely if you keep your distance from shorter melee weapons.

  • Damage: Average
  • Stun Power: Bad
  • Armour Penetration: Bad
  • Weight: Average to Heavy
  • Range: Far to Very Far

Shields

Shields are mainly for parry but you can attack with them also.

  • To Hit: Bad
  • Parry: Extremly Good
  • Damage: Bad
  • Stun Power: Good
  • Armour Penetration: Bad
  • Weight: Light to Heavy
Bow

Bows

Bows shoot faster than Crossbows and farther than Throwing Weapons.

  • To Hit: Average
  • Parry: N/A
  • Damage: Average
  • Stun Power: Bad
  • Armour Penetration: Average
  • Weight: Very Light to Average
  • Range: Far (Ranged)
CrossBow

Crossbows

Crossbows shoot one powerful shot, and then you need to reload. Crossbows with high Armour Penetration are good against high level characters wearing lots of armour.

  • Armour Penetration: Very Good
  • Weight: Average

Rifle

Rifles

Rifles require Engineering, especially the better Rifles. They deal high amounts of damage but have long reload times.

  • Stun Power: Bad
  • Armour Penetration: Good
  • Weight: Light to Heavy
  • Range: Very Far (Ranged)
